RTY thematic areas of intervention include health (reproductive health/HIV and AIDS and systems strengthening, livelihoods improvement (life skills training, income generating activities, vocational skills development and agribusiness), human rights; and advocacy, renewable energy technology and social research. RTY has implemented projects in the districts of Kasese, Kamwenge, Kyenjojo, Masaka, Lwengo, Rakai, Kalungu, Bukomansimbi, Lyantonde and Kalangala.
During implementation and delivery of programmes, RTY involves key stakeholders namely local government structures, community leaders and volunteers such as village health teams (VHT), Para-social workers, peer educators, women and youth groups including People Living with AIDS (PLHIV). RTY also works with school administrators, religious institutions, local leaders, and technical staff at both local government and lower levels.
