Project Overview

Re-Earth Initiatives funded Reach the Youth Uganda in 2023 to implement an ecosystem restoration project where cattle farmers with less than 20 acres of farmland planted fruit trees. This initiative aligns with the UN decade of ecosystem restoration (2020-2030), which aims to reverse centuries of damage to forests, wetlands, and other ecosystems.

Project Activities

  • Sensitized farmers about Climate Change, its causes and effects
  • Promoted the adoption of Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA)
  • Supported cattle farmers to plant fruit trees on their farmland
